It's Time to Seek the Lord with Fasting and Prayer

A Prayer from Daniel 9:2-19

Father, we set our face unto you Lord God, to seek you by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and humbleness of heart. We make our prayer unto you the LORD my God, and in our confession we say, Oh Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep your word; We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from your precepts and from your judgments:

We have not listened to nor obeyed your servants the prophets, who spoke in your name to our president, congress, senate, court justices and leaders, unto our fathers, and to all the people of this land. Oh Lord, righteousness belongs to you, but unto us confused faces, for this day; all your people, near and far, through all the countries of this world have trespassed against you. Oh Lord, to us belong confused faces, to our president, congress, senate, court justices and leaders, unto our fathers, and to all the people of the land because we have sinned against thee.

To you Lord our God belong mercies and forgiveness, though we have rebelled against you; neither have we obeyed the voice of the LORD our God, to live according to your word (the Bible), which you set before us by your servants the apostles and prophets. Yes Lord, all your people have transgressed your word, even by departing, and not obeying your voice; this is why the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses, the servant of God, because we have sinned against you Lord.

Father, you have confirmed your words, which Moses spoke against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil: for under the whole heaven hath not been done as hath been done in the United States of America. Moses wrote in the law about it, now is this evil is come upon us: yet we have not made our prayers to be heard before the LORD our God, nor have we considered to turn from our iniquities, and understand your truth.

Therefore the LORD watched the evil come upon us, and our sin brought it upon us: for LORD our God is righteous in all His works which you do: for we have not obeyed your voice. And now, Oh Lord our God, that brought your people out of bondage and captivity with great power, which caused you to receive great glory, as this day; we have sinned, we have done wickedly.

Oh Lord, according to all thy righteousness, I pray to you, let your anger and your fury be turned away from America, the place once known for peace, your sanctified place of where you demonstrated your power: because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, America and your people are become a reproach to all around us. Now therefore, Oh our God, hear the prayer of your servant, and my supplications, and cause your face to shine upon your holy place that is now in ruin, for the Lord's sake.

Oh my God, bend your ear, and hear; open your eyes, and see we have

grown numb, even the place which is called by your name: for we do not present our supplications before you for our righteousness, but for your great mercies.  Oh Lord, hear; Oh Lord, forgive; Oh Lord, regard and do; without delay, for your own sake, Oh my God: for this nation and your people are called by your name.
